(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 25 - Staff at Florence's Uffizi Gallery
and other Tuscan galleries are to strike on November 5 in a
dispute over contracts, unions said Friday.
The strike will involved about 200 people employed in ticket
offices, security, and reception at the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti,
the Polo Museale Toscana, and the Opificio Pietre Dure.
Unions Filcams Cgil-Uiltucs-Rsu Opera said : "there will be
another strike, after the one in July 2023 because the director
of the Uffizi Gallery (Simone) Verde informed us that he
essentially disavowed the document signed by former director
Eike Schmidt on 19 December 2023, the result of an agreement
that aimed to protect all workers in contract changes for all
the museums in question".
