(ANSA) - ROME, APR 9 - Italian car designer Paolo
Pininfarina, since 2008 president of the historic Turin-based
auto styling firm, has died aged 65, his family said Tuesday.
Pininfarina, who joined his famous father Sergio's firm in 1982,
was accompanied until the last by his wife Ilaria and his five
children Greta, Giovanni, Iole, Tullio and Giulia, as well as by
his mother Giorgia Gianolio.
The engineer, designer and businessman succeeded his brother
Andrea as head of the iconic firm in 2008.
His father Sergio, who died aged 85 in 2012, oversaw many of the
designs (particularly Ferraris) for which the company is famous.
