(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 18 - Gian Paolo Barbieri, one of the most
influential fashion photographers of his time who worked with
top designers including Valentino and Gianni Versace during the
course of a 60-year-long career, died on December 17 in Milan,
ANSA learned on Wednesday.
He was 89.
Barbieri collaborated with fashion houses including Gianfranco
Ferré, Giorgio Armani, Bulgari, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent,
Dolce & Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood.
His iconic shots were featured, among others, in Vogue Italia,
Vogue Paris, Vogue America, L'Officiel, GQ and Vanity Fair, for
which he photographed stars such as Jerry Hall, Veruschka,
Monica Bellucci and Audrey Hepburn. (ANSA).
