(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 30 - A famed Naples pizza maker whose
eateries dot Italy and the world has committed the alleged
ultimate culinary crime of adding pineapple to his toppings
sparking a huge social media backlash.
Gino Sorbillo, one of Italy's most celebrated pizzaioli, said in
response to the outcry: "It's nice, and you can't judge it
without first tasting it.
Among the outraged social media posts against the "sacrilege",
one read "this is not true pizza, let's leave such disgusting
additions to the Americans". (ANSA).
