(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 16 - ILLVA Saronno, maker of the iconic
Italian DiSaronno after dinner liqueur, has taken out a 20%
stake in an up and coming Italian whisky maker.
The famed beverage maker based in the town of Saronno near
Varese is investing in Albedo, an artisanal Lombard distillery
founded by Railroad Brewing.
The new whisky maker started producing Italy's first whisky
under the brand Strada Ferrata in 2020 and expects to give
customers its first taste of the new whisky this year. (ANSA).
