(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 8 - Italy's Carnevale carnival period is
to generate one billion euros in turnover and attract some 2.5
million tourists to the Bel Paese this year, according to a
study by the CNA Turismo e Commercio tourism and trade body.
Some eight million day-trippers will also be on the move over
the carnival period, the report said.
The median stay of Italian and foreign tourists is two days,
said CNA Turismo e Commercio. (ANSA).
