(ANSA) - ROMA, 10 GIU - The 'Serate Verdi' Festival returned to Tbilisi with two events organised by the Tonino Guerra International Foundation together with the Italian Embassy in Georgia: on 6 June, the film room of the National Archives of Georgia hosted the screening of the documentary 'Buongiorno, tira il vento', which recounts the life of Tonino Guerra, a great Italian poet who also made a profound mark on the history of cinema. The feature film directed by Georgian director Mikheil Mrevlishvili was realised thanks to the contribution of our embassy.
On 7 June, Tbilisi's Botanical Garden - where in 2021, in analogy with Tonino Guerra's 'Garden of Forgotten Fruits', the 'Avenue of Forgotten Fruits' was created - hosted Simone Zanchini, a famous Italian accordionist who plays at the most important Italian and international festivals and boasts numerous collaborations with world-famous musicians. The virtuoso musician, together with Sara Calvanelli (accordion) and Georgian musicians, performed several pieces of folk and jazz music.
