Star of Labour Merit for Eng. Gasparri of Eni Venezuela

(ANSA) - CARACAS, 15 GIU - The Italian Ambassador to Venezuela, Giovanni Umberto De Vito, presented engineer Francesco Gasparri, Eni's representative in Venezuela, with the decoration of the Star of Labour Merit, conferred on him by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
    The decoration represents a high recognition for those who, in public and private production sectors, in Italy or abroad, demonstrating high professionalism and good moral conduct, have acquired particular merit in promoting relations of friendship, respect and cooperation.
    The Ambassador wished to express his congratulations to Mr. Gasparri, highlighting his outstanding work over the past three years in Venezuela, as well as in previous assignments abroad, in favour of the development of sustainable projects in partnership with local counterparts and contributing to the diversification of relations in areas of strategic importance for our country.
    The occasion was also an opportunity to testify to the important role that Eni has been playing for decades in favour of the Venezuelan population, contributing to energy security, bringing its expertise and technological capacity to relevant activities of exploration, production and marketing of hydrocarbons.
