Rep.Congo: Amb.Petrangeli meets rector of Lubumbashi University

(ANSA) - ROMA, 19 GIU - The Italian Ambassador to Kinshasa, Alberto Petrangeli, met with the Rector of the University of Lubumbashi, Gilbert Kishiba Fitula. This university already has cooperation relations with a number of Italian universities, including the Orientale of Naples, and the ambassador and rector agreed to extend these links to other higher education institutions and Italian NGOs active in the Greater Katanga region. Particular attention was also given to the agricultural sector and Italian projects supporting the agricultural transformation programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo and to the teaching of the Italian language.
