The Ambassador also had talks with the Vice President of the Government of Vojvodina, Sandra Bozic, the Mayor of Sombor, Antonio Ratkovic, and the Regional Director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), Slobodan Stevančev, with whom he discussed the contribution of Italian companies to the development of the area and possible future collaborations in the economic sphere.
The mission is part of the periodic visits of 'Sistema Italia' to the areas of Serbia with the highest concentration of Italian companies.
"Sombor represents a very important area for the Italian presence in Serbia, our companies operating in this area invoice over 100 million euros. Here, it is possible to find heterogeneous production realities thanks to the simultaneous presence of important groups such as Ferrero and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs operating in different sectors: from agriculture to textiles, to the production of machinery and waste management," said Ambassador Gori. "Today we are visiting Sombor with a delegation enlarged to include the Italian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria Serbia and SIMEST," he added, "as proof of the support that Sistema Italia ensures to all its companies operating in Serbia.
