(ANSA) - CITTÀ DEL MESSICO, 21 GIU - Italy's ambassador to Mexico, Alessandro Modiano, presented his credentials to constitutional president Andrés Manuel López Obrador in a formal ceremony held at the National Palace, seat of the federal executive in the country's capital.
"Happy to have presented my credentials to President López Obrador," Modiano wrote on his Twitter account, "I reaffirm my commitment to further strengthen relations between Italy and Mexico during my term of office.
For his part, the head of state -who received documents from 13 other ambassadors- stressed that the meetings took place 'in an atmosphere of respect and friendship'.
