Italy supports women's role in peace and security

(ANSA) - ROMA, 10 LUG - Promoting female leadership and strengthening the role of women in peace and security. This was the focus of the dialogue held by Italy's Permanent Representative to NATO, Marco Peronaci, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, with the Special Representative of the NATO Secretariat, Irene Fellin, and Ambassador Geeta Rao Gupta of the Secretary for Global Women's Issues at the US Department of State. 'Italy,' Peronaci assured, 'will play its part in supporting these key initiatives.
