Amb. Silvestri meets the Macedonian Defence Minister

(ANSA) - SKOPJE, 16 LUG - Macedonian Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski received Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri today. During the meeting - the Embassy announced in a note - Silvestri said that Italy recognises the importance of North Macedonia as a strategic partner, within the framework of the broader support provided by Italy to the Western Balkans.
    He also spoke of the close cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence, thanks also to the alliance within the NATO framework, as well as specific cooperation initiatives such as the recent signing of the letter of intent for the creation of a military mobility corridor between Italy, North Macedonia, Albania and Bulgaria and the other agreements signed in recent months. Misajlovski emphasised that Italy is an ally and strategic partner of North Macedonia in terms of defence cooperation.
