Mexico's two exhibitions in Milan open until 7 August

(ANSA) - CITTÀ DEL MESSICO, 17 LUG - The double exhibition 'Mexico in Milan: celebrating 150 years of diplomatic relations with Italy' is open to the public free of charge until 7 August, with no need for reservations.
    The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Spazio Isola SET in Palazzo Lombardia, Piazza Città di Lombardia 1, 20124 Milan.
    The inauguration, which took place on 10 July, was attended by the Consul General of Mexico in Milan, María de los Ángeles Arriola Aguirre, the undersecretary in charge of International and European Relations of the Lombardy Region, Raffaele Cattaneo, the president of the Milan City Council, Elena Buscemi, and the artists Fabiola Quezada and César Menchaca.
    'The exhibition,' stressed Cattaneo, 'represents a unique opportunity for the public in Lombardy to immerse themselves in Mexican culture through two fascinating exhibitions. People often have a very backward idea of Mexico, which is still a decade old. Today, however, the country is the 14th largest economy in the world, the second largest in Latin America, with an average annual growth rate of 2%. It is a rapidly expanding market that can offer many opportunities to Italian companies'.
    Among the guests present at the opening ceremony were also the general director of the decentralised public body OPD Museos Puebla, Anel Nochebuena, as well as the Consuls General of Argentina and Peru and the Consul of Korea in Milan, in addition to various representatives from the academic, business, banking, journalistic and cultural worlds.
