Ambassador to North Macedonia, Italy upholds rule of law

(ANSA) - SKOPJE, 20 LUG - The Italian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Andrea Silvestri, met with Justice Minister Igor Filkov, to whom he reiterated Italy's support for the European integration process, in a discussion on the government's programmes in the field of justice.
    These,' the embassy reported in a note, 'represent a priority for the new government and are one of the main topics in the context of the accession process itself. Italy's supportive initiatives in fighting corruption, promoting good governance and increasing transparency, and consolidating the rule of law were also recalled. These initiatives were highly appreciated by the Macedonian side, and it was agreed to further deepen opportunities for cooperation.
