Meeting in Perth to start work on green steel plant in Australia

Facility operational in 2026, will use Italian technologies

(ANSA) - ROMA, 20 SET - Italy's Consul General in Perth Sergio Federico Nicolaci met with Danieli company head Nicola Patrizi and Green Steel Wa officials to discuss the Collie Green Steel Mill project, Western Australia's first green steel mill and the cleanest and most efficient in the country. Construction is scheduled to start in late 2024 and the plan is for the steel mill to be operational in 2026. With funding of over EUR 500 million, the facility will utilise innovative Italian technology, stimulating Western Australia's economy and creating jobs.
    The company 'Danieli' in Vietnam has been based in Ho Chi Minh since 2007 and is active in the engineering of specific machines and dedicated project management for the global metal industry.
