(ANSA) - ROMA, 23 SET - The Berlin school, Finow Schule, which has become over time a point of reference for the Italian community turns 55 years old as a primary school and 30 as a European state school. Founded in 1969, this school, located in Schöneberg, has become a point of reference for bilingual Italian-German education in Berlin because it combines Italian and German culture and language. The children start at the age of 6 and attend the school until the age of 12, with a curriculum that equally divides the lessons between Italian and German, and introduces English from the fifth grade. The Italian Embassy in Berlin wanted to celebrate the anniversary with a ceremony.
The Italian Ambassador in Berlin, Armando Varricchio, who attended the ceremony, together with the school head Alberta Bonacci, said: "This school is an institution of excellence that proudly pursues the promotion of bilingualism with ever new projects thanks to the commitment of all staff and families.
