(ANSA) - TOKYO, 26 SET - Tourism Expo Japan (TEJ), the most important B2B and B2C tourism trade fair in Japan, kicked off today in Tokyo, with the theme 'Travel, An Encounter With New Value Awaits,' and the participation of the sector's leading international operators. Once again, the Italian pavilion stood out for having the largest exhibition space in the Europe area, with four regions present: Basilicata, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Puglia and Veneto, as well as the Republic of San Marino.
For the occasion, the Italian Embassy in Tokyo organised an evening dedicated to promoting tourism, trade, technology, culture and food and wine in Italy, and in conjunction with the parallel start of the Tokyo Game Show (TGS). "The growing participation of our companies and territories in initiatives organised by Sistema Italia in Japan confirms that there are many opportunities to be seized by our productive fabric," Ambassador Gianluigi Benedetti told a packed audience. "In this perspective of growing bilateral cooperation, the initiative constitutes an important moment of networking, knowledge and comparison with our entrepreneurial realities, useful to generate synergies and reciprocal investment opportunities with a view to growth diplomacy.
The President of the Basilicata Region, Vito Bardi, was also present at the residence, together with the Lucanian delegation, to present the potential of the area to the Japanese market and strengthen collaboration with Japan in a wide range of sectors. The TEJ fair will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight site until 29 September.
