(ANSA) - ROMA, 01 OTT - The Italian Ambassador to Tel Aviv, Luca Ferrari met with the spiritual and political leader of the Golan Heights, Taher Abu Saleh.
"We discussed," explained the ambassador, "the history of the Druze community in Israel and the region, as well as the possibility of expanding its economic and cultural exchanges with Italy.
The Golan Heights, a mountainous plateau between Syria, Israel and Lebanon, is a territory under military occupation and Israeli administration claimed by Syria.
