The Italian Embassy in Kenya and the Italian Institute of Culture in Nairobi have organised two events in the capital Nairobi to promote Slim 24, involving a series of Italian and Kenyan actors, writers and musicians in readings, translations and meetings focusing on books and literary texts from our country.
The first, entitled 'Found in translation, the treasure of Italian language', a journey into Italian literature and poetry translated with musical accompaniment, will take place on Thursday 17 October at the Nairobi National Theatre. The second, 'Letture geniali, musica tra le righe', focusing on Elena Ferrante's best-seller 'L'amica geniale', will be staged on Saturday 19 October at the National Library.
