Georgia: Amb. D'Antuono receives Italian delegation of observers

(ANSA) - ROMA, 25 OTT - The Italian ambassador to Georgia, Massimiliano D'Antuono, received at his residence in Tibilisi the Italian delegation of MEPs who had come to the country as OSCE observers, in anticipation of the elections to be held tomorrow. According to the ambassador, this is an important contribution that Italy is making to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in Georgia.
    On election day, the observers monitor, together with delegations from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the opening of polling stations, voting, the counting of ballots and the tabulation of the results.
