Italian language week, rap music success in Skopje

(ANSA) - SKOPJE, 28 OTT - The #Slim2024 brought the energy of rap to Skopje.
    The evening of 25 October," the Embassy of Italy in North Macedonia announced on Facebook, "was dedicated to music with a concert featuring the extraordinary Swiss-Italian rapper and freestyler Mattak, joined by Funky Nano - his partner in many projects - and the well-known Macedonian DJ @djgoce. The event, co-organised with the Embassy of Switzerland in North Macedonia, enlivened the @club_minuseden club, creating a vibrant, rhythm-filled atmosphere.
    The performance by Mattak, known for his direct, incisive lyrics full of cultural references, was able to engage the audience with his skilful use of rhymes, a rapid flow, enriched by surprising wordplay. This first rap concert by Slim in North Macedonia confirmed how Italian is not only a great language of culture, but also a living and modern language, able to speak directly to young people, even through contemporary forms and methods.
