(ANSA) - MOSCA, 12 NOV - The Italian film 'Upside Down', by Luca Tornatore, won the prize for the best children's film at the Cinema without Barriers festival in Moscow, organised every two years by the Best Buddies organisation, which focuses on the inclusion of differently abled people in Russian society. The Italian Embassy in Moscow supported the Italian participation in the festival and took care of the subtitling of the film, ensuring the director's presence at the festival.
The Italian ambassador, Cecilia Piccioni, attended the first screening of Tornatore's film. "In line with what President Sergio Mattarella has been advocating for years now," said the diplomat, "what is most relevant when talking about disability is the need to overcome stereotypes and prejudices and ensure that people with limitations have the chance to live a normal life.
