(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, 16 NOV - The 9th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in Buenos Aires opened with a gastronomic fair at the Usina del Arte, a charming event space in the Boca district, founded by immigrants mostly from Liguria almost 200 years ago. Thousands of people attended the event, enjoying Italian food and wine delicacies prepared by Italian restaurateurs, gelato makers, pastry chefs and pizza makers.
Ambassador Lucentini stressed that there is also 'a cultural and economic aspect. We aim to make our products known to an increasing number of Argentinians in a year that has seen the strong revival of political relations between Rome and Buenos Aires' and, with this inauguration, 'we count on having laid the foundations also for a significant strengthening, in the months to follow, of economic-commercial relations'.
