(ANSA) - PARIGI, 20 NOV - The Permanent Representation of Italy to the International Organisations in Paris is also celebrating the ninth edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. "In the age of industrial production and processed foods, returning to the principles of traditional cuisine is the only way to preserve the pleasure of authentic flavours while promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle," said Ambassador Luca Sabbatucci, Permanent Representative of Italy to International Organisations in Paris (including the OECD), summing up the spirit of the ninth edition of Italian World Cuisine Week, this year dedicated to the theme 'Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine: Health and Tradition'.
The Paris headquarters of the Monte Paschi Banque hosted an event celebrating Italian culinary roots, organised by the Representation. The aim of the initiative, which was added to the many others promoted in recent days by the dense Italian diplomatic-consular network present in France, was to highlight how the cultural tradition of our cuisine, based on the principles of the Mediterranean diet, represents not only a healthy and balanced dietary model, but also a sustainable approach to food and conviviality, enhancing the link between tradition and wellbeing.
