(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, 21 NOV - The Consul of Italy in Rosario, Marco Bocchi, has drawn up a "positive" balance of the initiatives organised as part of the Italian Cooking Week (Scim) in Argentina, thanks to the "extraordinary participation of the local community" of Italian descendants.
"Thanks to the initiatives organised by the Consulate and the involvement of numerous gastronomic establishments, the rich programme was able to enhance the richness of the Italian culinary tradition, while promoting intercultural dialogue and innovation," Consul Bocchi said in a note.
Among the initiatives organised to celebrate the 9th edition of the Scim, the event 'Gastronomy and Tradition: the Cuisine of the Roots', held on 15 November in the garden of the Consulate, where chefs Santiago Cenitagoya and Pablo Sapene prepared a menu inspired by traditional Italian recipes, enriched by innovative elements based on local ingredients.
As a closing event, on 20 November, the 'Cuisine and Health: the Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet' meeting was held in the Consulate's reception hall.
