(ANSA) - SANTO DOMINGO, 21 NOV - On the occasion of the 9th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (celebrated between 16 and 22 November), the residence of the Italian Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Stefano Queirolo Palmas hosted a gala dinner, celebrating the art of Italian cuisine.
The event was enhanced by the mastery of chef Ciro Casola, who presented a menu inspired by the tradition of Neapolitan cuisine, combining authenticity and innovation.
The gastronomic performance by the chef from Campania offered participants a journey through the culinary tradition of one of Italy's richest regions in history and culture. Each recipe reflected a conviviality that has evolved over the centuries, while remaining rooted in the values of the Mediterranean Diet.
Ambassador Stefano Queirolo Palmas welcomed some representatives of our community in the country and personalities from the distribution sector of Italian products. These included the participation of the Pappaterra family, custodians of historic Italian roots, known for the largest shopping centre in Santo Domingo, 'Supermix', which promotes a vast assortment of national food and wine excellence. European Union Ambassador Katja Afheldt was also present.
