(ANSA) - SOFIA, 22 NOV - As part of the initiatives of the IX Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (16-22 November 2024), the Italian Ambassador to Bulgaria Giuseppina Zarra hosted a high-level enogastronomic event at the Residence on the evening of Wednesday 20 November with an invitation-only gourmet dinner featuring the renowned chef Daniele Priori, gastronomic consultant and Executive Chef with over 30 years of experience.
During the evening, organised in cooperation with the ITA Agency in Sofia and the Italian Cultural Institute in Bulgaria, and with the participation of the State Professional Institute for Food and Wine Services and Hospitality 'Pietro Piazza' in Palermo, guests were presented with a 4-course menu created especially for the occasion by Chef Priori, focusing on the flavours and products of southern Italy, accompanied by Italian wines suggested by sommelier Fabiana Bottan.
Among the many guests present at the event were also the Minister of Culture, Nayden Todorov, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Pavlin Petrov, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, the world of catering and hospitality in Bulgaria, and the resident Italian community.
