(ANSA) - ROMA, 22 NOV - Denmark meets Umbria. Yesterday, the Italian Residence in Copenhagen hosted 'Umbria: Sip, Savor, and Explore,' an event dedicated to the promotion of Umbria's food, wine, and tourism excellence, organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria with the support of Danitacom, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Denmark.
The objective of the initiative was to promote the region's wine, food and tourism heritage to Danish operators in the sector. The programme included meetings with Umbrian wine producers and agritourisms, presentations on the region, and numerous networking opportunities between Italian and Danish professionals.
The day began with an interactive session, during which guests could taste a selection of Umbrian wines and talk directly with the wineries, deepening their knowledge of the techniques and traditions of the region. This was followed by the welcome greetings of the Italian Ambassador and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria and the University for Foreigners of Perugia. Participants then had the opportunity to meet with representatives of agritourisms and wine producers, exponents of regional quality and tradition. Places, eno-gastronomic and historical routes of the region became protagonists in the meeting, revealing unknown aspects of the Umbrian treasure chest to a very interested and participating audience.
Lastly, a varied buffet provided an opportunity to appreciate Umbrian gastronomic specialities accompanied by a refined selection of local wines, in a cordial atmosphere of dialogue and exchange in which Umbria emerged in all its capacity for attraction and hospitality.
