(ANSA) - ZAGABRIA, 22 NOV - The Italo-Croatian Chamber of Commerce (CCIC) celebrated the 10th anniversary of its foundation on the occasion of the traditional annual Grand Gala organised by it in Zagreb. Besides the President of the CCIC, former Senator Aldo Di Biagio, the Croatian Minister of Economy, Ante Šušnjar, the Italian Ambassador to Croatia (and Honorary President of the CCIC), Paolo Trichilo, and several representatives of the Italian and local business and financial world were present. In his speech, President Di Biagio outlined the path that led the ICCC to bring together the main Croatian and Italian entrepreneurial realities present in the area and to constitute an important reference point for investors from our country interested in seizing the opportunities offered by Croatia. The fundamental role of the ICCC was acknowledged by Minister Šušnjar, who underlined the Croatian government's commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations with Italy, Croatia's leading trading partner. Amb. Trichilo, who thanked Šušnjar for the recent visit to Rome and referred to the fruitful meeting with the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, defined the CCIC as an important component of the bilateral economic relationship, destined to grow in the framework of the common membership of Italy and Croatia to the EU and the Eurozone and in the perspective of the future accession of Zagreb to the OECD, fully supported by Italy. The Ambassador therefore hoped that the CCIC could continue to work as a team with the other actors of the 'Italian System' in the country (starting with the Embassy and the ICE) and contribute to strengthening cooperation with the local authorities and public and private enterprises.
