Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - ROMA, 23 NOV - "The Refinements of Lazio amidst tastings of typical products, music, songs, and dances of ancient traditions" - thanks to the collaboration between the Pro Loco and the Municipality of the City of Cori, the "Tres Lusores" Renaissance Dance Company, and the "Leone Rampante" Flag-wavers' group - were presented yesterday at the Italian Ambassador's Residence, also protagonists of the 9th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.
The acrobatic figurations of the famous Sbandieratori - who have been representing the "art of the flag" all over the world for over 50 years - introduced the Company's performance, engaged in a concert/show of Renaissance music, songs, and dances taken from the event "Churches, Palaces, and Castles in Music - Sweet melodies, songs, dances, flavours, and arts of the Renaissance along the pilgrims' paths". During the event, films were shown dedicated to Cori and various locations in the Lepini Mountains, as well as the picturesque stretch of the Southern Via Francigena.
Finally, a tasting of typical food and wine and agri-food products from the Cori and Monti Leipini area led participants to rediscover the ancient flavours of Lazio and ancient culinary recipes handed down through local traditions. The tasting was organised with the cooperation of renowned companies in the area of Cori and neighbouring municipalities of the southern Lepini Mountains, thanks to which the presentation of the Region's various tourist and eno-gastronomic locations in the 9th SCIM in Denmark was completed.
The evening ended with the 'FilmOpera in Musica' Concert by the OperaInCanto Trio: Soprano Mariangela Cafaro on vocals, Maestro Carlo Vittori on piano, and Maestro Mauro Salvatori on flutes. A much appreciated closure to a week in which - all together - Lazio's cuisine, products, places, traditions, music, art and hospitality were engaging protagonists.
