(ANSA) - ZAGABRIA, 28 NOV - The Ambassador of Italy to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, spoke at the opening ceremony in Zagreb of the photographic exhibition "Faces of the Mediterranean 2.0" organised by the National Foundation for Civil Society Development on the occasion of Mediterranean Day (28 November), which celebrates the signing of the Agreement that launched the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership Process (the so-called "Barcelona Process").
The Italian Embassy contributed to the exhibition, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, with five photos from the travelling exhibition 'Mediterranea. Visions of an ancient and complex sea' promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and which had stopped in Zagreb and Rijeka earlier this year. These include three satellite images depicting Naples, Syracuse and the island of Pantelleria and two black and white photos of two unspecified Italian ports dedicated to the phenomenon of mass migration from Italy in the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition will remain open until 4 December.
