Italian cuisine week, gala dinner in Montenegro

(ANSA) - BELGRADO, 28 NOV - The Ice Office in Belgrade and Podgorica, together with the Italian Embassy in Montenegro, organised the event 'Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine: Health and Tradition' on 26 November at the HEC Residence in Budva, during the 9th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.
    Chef Raffaele Trilli, owner of the Chichibio restaurant, awarded two forks by Gambero Rosso, collaborated with students from the HEC-Faculty of International Management in Tourism and Hospitality in Budva and the Hotelier Institute "E. De Panfilis" in Roccaraso in preparing a gala dinner, celebrating Mediterranean cuisine and Italian traditions. The Montenegrin students," Ice reported in a note, "learned culinary techniques directly from the chef, working side by side with their Italian colleagues.
    The Deputy Head of Mission, Silvia Staffa, underlined the importance of cooperation between Italy and Montenegro, thanking the partners and stressing how culture, food and wine are fundamental tools for strengthening bilateral ties.
    The Director of ICE Podgorica, Antonio Ventresca, emphasised the value of the exchange of concrete experiences, which takes place by collaborating in the preparation of a high level menu.
    At the conclusion of the event, the Headmistress of the Hotelier Institute IPSSEOA "E. De Panfilis" in Roccaraso, Cinzia d'Altorio thanked the Podgorica ICE Agency and the Embassy of Italy in Montenegro for their hospitality and underlined the importance of this cultural exchange between the students of the two institutes.
