(ANSA) - ROMA, 29 NOV - The 'Young Leaders Italy-UK' programme kicked off at the Farnesina in Rome: a project born with the 'Memorandum of Understanding' signed by the Italian and British Governments in London in April 2023 to increase connections between the new generations of the two countries and build the leadership of the future. This was announced by the Foreign Ministry.
The ten young people selected for 2024 will stay in Rome until Friday and will visit, among others, the Crisis Unit, the Farnesina contemporary art collection, the Parliament and the headquarters of Esrin (European Centre for Earth Observation) in Frascati. They will also take part in the Pontignano Forum organised by the British Embassy in Rome, at Villa Wolkonsky.
Last October saw the closure of the call for participants for the 2025 edition of the programme, selected by the Italian Embassy in London and the British Embassy in Rome. The winners will be announced in Venice in January 2025 by the Italian Ambassador to the UK, Inigo Lambertini, and his British counterpart.
