(ANSA) - ROMA, 16 DIC - "With major Italian companies such as WeBuild and Ansaldo-Hitachi in the construction phase and Atm Milano in the management phase, Italy is playing a leading role in the new metro system in Thessaloniki, a qualifying example of the cooperation between the best of Italy's mobility industry and Greece in a sector, that of sustainable mobility, which is fundamental for that country's sustainable development," Italy's ambassador to Athens Paolo Cuculi told ANSA on the sidelines of the ambassadors' conference at the Farnesina.
Cuculi recalled Italy's strong presence in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
"And in the cultural sphere, a few weeks ago we inaugurated a wonderful exhibition on the Enthrotri civilisation at the beautiful Acropolis Museum, in cooperation with the Mic and museum poles of Matera and Basilicata, a collaboration that has been going on for decades thanks also to the presence of the only Italian archaeological school abroad and a very active cultural institute,' he concluded.
