As for bilateral relations with Italy, the ambassador stressed that the political ones are "excellent" because "they are based on a historical bond of friendship between the two peoples". From the economic point of view, then, "the interchange this year will exceed 36 billion, it is a little-known figure but it shows that Poland is one of the most important trade partners we have in Europe". And then there is culture, Italian culture "is very much loved in Poland, which is among the first countries in terms of texts translated from Italian and which hosts 40 chairs of Italian studies," the diplomat added.
