(ANSA) - TUNISI, 13 FEB - Tunisia is strengthening its position as the epicentre of open innovation in North Africa. During the Innovation Summit in Tunis, organised by Terna Innovation Zone, Centro Elis, Mind The Bridge (Mtb) and the International Chamber of Commerce (Icc), Mtb's 'Tech Scaleup Tunisia 2025' report was presented, highlighting how Tunisia is already among the top destinations for innovation in Africa, with 1,450 active start-ups and 17 scaleups.
According to Mouna Chaieb, president of the Icc's Digital Economy Commission, Tunisia is the fifth largest exporter of engineers in the world, 45th in the number of researchers and 50th in scientific and ecological achievements of students.
