(ANSA) - ROMA, 18 MAR - The Italian Embassy in Singapore and Temenggong Artists-in-Residence today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration between Italian and Singaporean artists in the field of visual arts and music.
The agreement, signed by Ambassador Dante Brandi and Prof.
"In a context of great and uncertain global transformations, art has the power to create bridges that bring our countries closer, overcoming geographical distances and strengthening the bond between Italy and Singapore," said Ambassador Brandi.
Founded in Singapore in 2009, Temenggong Artists-in-Residence is a non-profit organisation that supports local and international artists through residencies, exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects, fostering an environment of creative exchange and experimentation.
The partnership will kick off on 21 March with a concert by Italian pianist Alessandro Martire together with the Flavours Quartet of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, in the evocative setting of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO heritage site.
