Meeting with Italian students Oslo on diplomatic career

(ANSA) - ROMA, 21 MAR - Yesterday evening the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo was swarming with Italian students, both Erasmus and those involved in other exchange programmes with various universities in Oslo (University of Oslo; Oslo-Met; BI - Norwegian Business School) for an event presenting the activities of the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute and a briefing on career opportunities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other international contexts briefing on career opportunities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in other international contexts.
    The event was opened with an introductory speech by the Ambassador of Italy in Oslo, Stefano Nicoletti, and the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Dr. Raffaella Giampaola. Embassy Counsellor Luca Fraticelli then presented the opportunities to enter the diplomatic and other administrative careers careers at Maeci and the Italian diplomatic network.
    The event was a networking opportunity for the almost 50 Italian students present, who showed interest in the world of diplomacy, international careers and the MaeciMiur-Crui internship itself. The Ambassador to Norway, Stefano Nicoletti commented: 'I was very pleased to meet so many Italian students attending various universities in Oslo in the fields of economics and finance, political and historical sciences, law, and statistical and social sciences who may be interested in pursuing diplomacy or other international careers tomorrow. We tried to provide them with ample information on the various career opportunities offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but also by international organisations. Finally, we have invited them to participate in the Day of Italian Research in the World that we will be celebrating in Oslo on 20 May at Oslo-Met University'.
