'Italy, Europe on high terrorism alert'

(ANSA) - Cairo, September 4 - Italy and Europe are on high terrorism alert, Interior Minister Angelino Alfano said Thursday in Cairo after meeting with Egyptian President Abdullah Fatah al-Sisi. "We are dealing with an organization with fearsome ambitions on an unprecedented scale," Alfano said, adding that all countries must contribute to the fight against jihadist terror. "We must work jointly to put out the fire because all of Europe is under threat," he said.
