Italy's debt closed 2015 at 2.1699 trillion euros

(ANSA) - Rome, February 15 - Italy's massive public debt stood at 2.1699 trillion euros at the end of December 2015, the Bank of Italy said on Monday. This was 33.8 billion euros higher than at the end of 2014, when the debt was 2.136 trillion euros, 132.4% of GDP. December's debt level was down on the 2.212 trillion euros of November 2015.
