(ANSA) - Rome, May 4 - Justice Minister Andrea Orlando on
Wednesday said launched a plan to stem prison suicides, which he
called a "worrying and intolerable phenomenon".
Orlando said he had already issued a directive aimed at
"raising the level of attention, boosting at the same time the
measures that in each prison are already taken to prevent
self-harming".
The minister launched a suicide-prevention plan to gather,
process and publish data on the phenomenon and the measures
taken to stem it.
