(ANSA) - Parma, May 9 - Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin said Monday she had sent health police to inspect school food after complaints from parents about food quality. She said random samples would be taken. "Diet in schools is very important," she said. "Inspection results will be assessed on a quarterly basis, as was done with our task force for retirement homes and institutions for the disabled". She said the health inspectors will look into food quality as well as the kinds of nutrition being offered children according to their age group. The minister would not divulge whether the inspections were taking place in public or private schools, or both.
