(ANSA) - Rome, September 7 - Interior Minister Angelino
Alfano said Wednesday that his New Centre Right (NCD) party, a
junior partner in Premier Matteo Renzi's coalition government,
will not vote for the 2016 budget bill if it features a wealth
tax.
"If there is a wealth tax in the budget law it will not
have our vote," Alfano told a press conference at the Lower
House.
"We have started talking about a wealth tax again because
of a nervous tic of the Italian left.
"We are focused on enhancing the value of the home and so
we are on the opposite site of a wealth tax".
