(ANSA) - Rome, September 21 - Deputy Premier and Labour and
Industry Minister Luigi Di Maio said Friday that only Italians
will be eligible for the government's 'citizenship wage' basic
income when it is introduced, while migrants will not.
"It is clear that it is impossible not to restrict awarding
the citizenship income to Italian citizens, given the flows of
illegal immigration," the leader of the 5-Star Movement (M5S)
told Radio Anch'io.
