(ANSA) - Strasbourg, October 3 - European Affairs Minister
Paolo Savona told Italian MEPS at the European Parliament
Wednesday that "I do not intend to take any action against the
euro, on the contrary, I want to strengthen it".
Savona, a professional economist, is known for his
Euroskeptic views and the Italian media often refer to his "plan
B" for the euro.
"I'm European, I feel European," added Savona, who also said
the 2019 budget can be discussed when all the details are known.
He added that there is no chance of Italy defaulting on its
debt.
