(ANSA) - Rome, October 22 - Maurizio Fugatti, the health
ministry undersecretary and member of Deputy Premier and
Interior Minister Matteo Salvini's League party, looks set to
win the election for the new president of the autonomous
province of Trento.
Fugatti has 45.
He is followed by Giorgio Tonini of the centre-left
Democratic Party (PD) with 25.78% and outgoing governor Ugo
Rossi of the regionalist PATT party on 11.95%.
In Alto Adige, the regionalist SVP party did not collapse,
although its vote was down four points to 41.7%.
It was followed by the civic list of surprise contender Paul
Koellensperger, a former member of the 5-Star Movement (M5S), on
15.2%, with the League on 11.1%.
