(ANSA) - Bucharest, October 23 - Interior Minister and
Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini said French President Emmanuel
Macron should reflect on his actions over accusations the French
authorities have been entering Italian territory to drop
migrants over the border.
"Italy respects the rules, someone else does not, including
on the immigration balance sheet," said Salvini, who has come
under fire from Macron over his policy of closing Italy's ports
to NGO-run migrant-rescue ships.
"We spent the summer being insulted and then we find out that
the French dump migrants, including minors, in Italian forests.
"Macron should examine his conscience before insulting us".
