(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 28 - 5-Star Movement (M5S) founder Beppe
Grillo gave M5S leader Giuseppe Conte a vote of confidence on
Tuesday and said the movement would continue to support Premier
Mario Draghi's government after Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio
quit the M5S to form a breakaway group.
"Calm down when it comes to Conte," comedian-turned-politician
Grillo said when asked about the ex-premier as he arrived at the
Lower House for a meeting with M5S lawmakers following Di
Maio's exit and a poor showing in a recent round of local
elections.
"We get on perfectly".
When asked whether the M5S would remain in the ruling coalition,
Grillo replied: "certainly".
Di Maio quit the M5S after a row with Conte over the
government's policy of giving military aid to Ukraine following
the Russian invasion. (ANSA).
