(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 15 - Introducing a minimum wage in Italy
is not a solution to the woes of underpaid workers, Premier
Giorgia Meloni told question time Wednesday replying to a
question from new centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD)
leader Elly Schlein.
"The minimum wage is not a solution," she said in the Lower
House.
Meloni said labour taxes had to be cut to boost wages.
Schlein made a minimum wage pledge one of the key planks of her
